After directing "The Little Mermaid" in 2018 at the Studio-Théâtre, Géraldine Martineau, who has since become a resident of the Troupe, is interested in another path of female emancipation with "La Dame de la mer" by Ibsen.
Never before performed at the Comédie-Française, this play by the Norwegian playwright, a precursor of modern theatre, offers a universe both steeped in the doldrums of everyday life and transcended by supernatural phenomena – under the influence of fantasies that have become phobias.
